Over 8 years ago, John Vuong purchased a plot of land on Scott and Corder with the vision of bringing fresh food options to the South Union community. Due to the downturn in the economy the Vuong’s had to put their dream on hold. In 2014, in partnership with the City of Houston, John’s vision is becoming a reality with Pyburn’s Farm Fresh Foods opening its first ground up store in the Spring of 2015 in South Union.
The South Union store’s layout will be exciting and incorporate many sustainable design and energy efficient elements. A broad selection of quality meat, farm fresh produce and dairy products at extremely competitive prices will be offered in the more than 19,000 square foot store.
The Vuong family has long been committed to the communities they serve and their commitment of investment, service and partnership continues in Houston as the planned Pyburn’s store in South Union will provide 25+ jobs in 2015. In fact, 90-95% of all Pyburn’s employees come from the communities that they serve.
