Over 9 years ago, John Vuong purchased a plot of land on Scott and Corder with the vision of bringing fresh food options to the South Union community. Due to the downturn in the economy the Vuong’s had to put their dream on hold. In 2014, in partnership with the City of Houston, construction began on the new ground up store. On July 31st, 2015 John’s vision became a reality with the official Grand Opening of Pyburn’s Farm Fresh Foods in South Union.
The South Union store’s layout is exciting and incorporates many sustainable design and energy efficient elements. A broad selection of quality meat, farm fresh produce and dairy products at extremely competitive prices are being offered in the more than 19,000 square foot store.
The Vuong family has long been committed to the communities they serve and their commitment of investment, service and partnership continues in Houston as the new Pyburn’s store in South Union currently provides 50+ jobs with 90-95% of all Pyburn’s Team Members living within 2 miles of the new store.
